1964 – Vauxhall HA Viva

Originally built in the north island to race Pre-65 my brother took ownership bringing it down to the south island in 2016, it required some fixing up which he completed and raced until 2019 when he blew up the 3 main engine parking her in a shed to collect dust. In November 2024 i begged my partner to help me dig her out and get ready to race in February 2025. A goal we along with an awesome team achieved. Most things had to be custom made to fit the engine to the car, i was also extremely lucky that the star fire is a 186 less 2 cylinders so managed to get my hands on pistons, roller rockers and lifters for cheap because one of the north island guys had damaged 1 cylinder worth of parts damaged.
