2012 – Nissan Leaf

We call her 'Leafy' because all our cars names generally end with 'Y'. Vanny, Leafy, Car'y, Caravany, you get the idea. We got Leafy in 2020 when we thought we better save on some fuel. We've got three kids; the school run 10 minutes from home 5 days a week plus daily supermarket runs make economic sense in an EV. Turns out you don't need to do that in an 8-seater to keep the kids far apart from each other [and not fighting]. We got Leafy second/third hand from someone in Auckland, shipped down to us. Leafy can do about 50k's to a charge now. Hahah. Yep, she's our going-to-town rig.
